People often ask when is the best time to start planning for the wedding dance and what is required to prep for probably one of the most important dances in their lives. Well, from seeing so many students come by to learn their wedding routine I’d recommend to start as early as possible. If time allows, 2 months prior to the big day to start the routine. There are a few reasons for this suggestion: 1. you allow time to work with me to choreograph the routine, adding individual style to a dance that’s all your own 2. muscle memory, it takes time to train your body so the routine looks natural rather than coming from straight memorization 3. takes the pressure off your dance partner and enjoy the learning process. Of course, not everyone has the luxury of time. If that’s the case there are ways to compensate. We are flexible in schedule so we can always do more lessons in a shorter period of time to ensure we cover all the required steps and practice sessions needed to make your dance beautiful and special.
